Over the last decade MK1 numbers have steadily declined across the globe as expected with growing age and uneconomical repairs. But how many are with us today? Well in 2021 before the Club started the Founder decided to create his own data which gives detailed breakdowns of specifications, engines and yearly models. He claims a 98% accuracy compared with the famous “How many left” website which is far less for MK1’s. Only UK cars are covered due to lack of any accessible information from other markets.
